hey y’all,

Anyone one else stop to think lately that 2017 is halfway over?! Like….what, where did the year go? More importantly, summer break is halfway over…*insert Kim Kardashian crying face.* I mean but the trips to the beach and days by the pool are only beginning. Praise ya Jesus.

This past weekend, I spent a couple days at Jacksonville Beach and lucky for us, it didn’t rain at all while we were there. If you’re from South Georgia/North Florida, you know that it’s been raining everyday for a month, so actually being able to soak in the sun and get a tan was the best feeling ever.

Recently over on my Instagram, I shared with y’all some super fun collaborations I had coming up. One of them being a collab with the CUTEST boutique, Scarlett Sage Boutique. After taking a look on their website for the first time, I knew I needed some Scarlett Sage in my closet (or suitcase since that’s where my clothes seem to be this summer). I chose a couple pieces….two that I wore to the beach and the other two will be worn on my trip to Las Vegas. Don’t worry, blog posts are definitely coming to Styled by Becca soon with tips on how to style each piece. For today’s post I just wanted to share this FABULOUS off-the-shoulder seersucker dress and two ways I chose to style it.

Look Number One

For the first look I chose to pair the dress with my favorite pair of Seven Dials shoes. They still have a heel on them, however it’s not as dramatic and a platform heel so it’s easier to walk in, casual, and more comfy.

Look Number Two

Okay so little style tip...if you have a solid color dress, pair it with a pop of color with the shoes or accessories to give it a more dramatic look. Perfect for a fancy dinner while you’re at the beach, cruise, or any other vacation.

Hair

When I was styling this outfit, I knew I wanted to do something different with my hair than just my usual messy bun or curls. I opted for the ultra trendy half up-half down look. It’s an easy hairstyle for vacation since you basically only have to curl half your head. Lazy girls go ahead and raise ya hand if this is your new favorite hair style. *raises both hands*

Makeup

For this beach trip, I went with my normal summer makeup routine. You can see the video here of me showing my makeup routine + favorite makeup products to use.

For all my girls out there who are into dresses or the off-the-shoulder trend, here are two other ways you can wear this piece:

1. Instead of wearing the sleeves off-the-shoulder, put one sleeve up to create a one shoulder top and pair with jeans, shorts, or white denim.

2. Tuck that baby in. Find a skirt that matches with the dress and tuck it in. It may seem weird but I promise no one will notice that it's a dress and not a top.

If this dress hasn’t inspired you enough to go check out Scarlett Sage Boutique, then hello sistaaa friend, what’s wrong with ya?!
