Legit just realized I haven't post a blog post in soooo long. Since November 15th to be exact. To say that the last couple months have been     C H A O T I C would be an understatement. Since I'm finishing up finals this week, I wanted to share 12 memory verses I use to help me get through the testing anxieties and the O N E app I deleted from my phone that has helped my productivity double in less than a week.


Psalm 37:7 | Be still before the Lord.

*Psalm 27:1 | The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

*1 Peter 5:7 | Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

*Jeremiah 29:11 | For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.

*Proverbs 3:5-6 | Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. 

*Philippians 3:14 | I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

*Psalm 56:3 | When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. 

*Matthew 11:28 | Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

*Philippians 4:6 | Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 

*Joshua 1:9 | Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

*Luke 1:37 | For with God nothing shall be impossible. 

*Psalm 46:5 | God is within here, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. 


1. Don't wait until the last minute. | Seriously y'all. I usually get my study guide/notes organized a week in advance to the test. This give me enough time to get my s*** together and have a day or two to study all of my notes. Freshmen year I used to get everything together the night before and try to study, which was total C H A O S. 

2. Take a break. | Study hard but also remember to take a break. Take an hour nap. Eat a snack. Watch a tv show. Check Instagram. Basically anything, just as long as you give your brain a little break. I usually take a break every hour. Nothing major, just a 20 minute or so break checking Insta Stories or watching a show on Netflix. 

3. Get up earlier in the morning so you can sleep at night. | Set your alarm about an hour earlier than normal. Get up, eat breakfast, brush your teeth, and get some studying done. This will get your day started quicker, more productive, and ensure that you can go to bed at a decent time. Seriously y'all, do yourself a favor and A V O I D the all-nighters. I remember like sophomore year of finals week, waiting for our final to start and this girl tells everyone she hadn't sleep in 48 hours. Like whaaaat?! No bueno. 


It's simple. The one app probably E V E R Y O N E has on their phone, aka Facebook. I decided last Friday that I spent T O O much time scrolling through and checking notifications, so I decided I would take tiny break from Facebook and here how it's gone below.

Day One: Friday, December 1st. | My first day without the app. I kept thinking, "what notifications do I have? what if I'm missing something?"  

Day Two: Saturday, December 2nd. | I thought about notifications and stuff during the day like once or twice but didn't give in and look. I'm all the time tagging people in memes so I was like, "holy crap, they're going to think I'm dead or something." lol

Day Three: Sunday, December 3rd. | I still had the app deleted on my phone but decided to check Facebook that night. To my surprise, I hadn't really missed anything other than my cousin tagging me in 10 million memes. 

Day Four: Monday, December 4th. | Still no app. I've noticed that I don't think about Facebook AT ALL, which in return makes me kinda forget about Instagram and Snapchat too. I've also noticed that I'm getting more things done on my to do list since I'm not spending every 10 minutes checking apps. 

Day Five: Tuesday, December 5th. | I've been at this thing 5 whole days now and ya know, I don't think I'll be downloading the Facebook app anytime soon. I checked it earlier tonight on my computer and legit haven't even missed anything important. I also was able to write 2 blog posts tonight and finish my last assignment for this semester earlier today sooooo yaaaaas productivity is soooo good this week.
