LIFESTYLE: Q+A | Answering your questions about myself and blogging

hey y'all

Shot a couple looks for Shop Becca today, answered emails, and caught up on homework, sooooo I deserve to spend all night binging my favorite show, right?! As promised, I'm answering all your questions you had about me and blogging!

*What is your favorite app?

Right now, I'm loving the app, Lifesum! It helps me track what I've eaten for the day, how many calories I've burned, and my water intake (my new year's resolution was to drink more water everyday). It can also sync to your Apple Watch and Fitbit and has tons of healthy recipe ideas.

Some of my other faves are Instagram, Pinterest, and the Delta app (because I'm always planning a trip).

*How do you edit your pics?

I use Lightroom to edit all of my photos. It's $9 a month and way better than any editing software I've ever used. I like to download presets (search lightroom presets on Pinterest and a ton free ones will pop up!), because it makes the editing part way easier.

*What are the best apps to help grow your instagram?

I'm not sure of any apps to grow social media, but since I've been implementing tips I've found on Julie Solomon's blog, I've seen my blog/Instagram grow A LOT.

*What got you into blogging?

I actually began blogging because my professor suggested it. She was like, "if you don't have much on your resume right now, get creative....start blogging." So I looked into it and started my first blog XOXO, Rebecca F. (soooo embarrassing now that I look back at it haha). I changed that name to Styled by Becca shortly after.

I started this blog as something to add to my resume and I'm so glad I did. It's not about adding experience to a piece of paper now...but rather turned into a passion and a dream. I'm so glad I put myself out there because if I didn't, I would have had the chance to meet all y'all!!

*What do you do to feed your personal growth?

Two things: taking breaks and setting goals. I always make sure to take at least one day a week for myself. So basically, I don't do any work, I don't think about blogging, leave the homework alone, and forget about any other problems I'm having at the moment. I take the day to do something I love. So staying in bed all day, going shopping, taking a day trip, or hanging out with friends are some of the things I like to do on my me day.

I also make sure to set goals, so I can always have something to work towards and look forward to. It also helps you see how much you've accomplished so you remain motivated.

*What did you use to build your blog's website?

I 210% recommend using SquareSpace to build you blog's website. I tried using WordPress, but it just didn't make sense to me. Plus, I could never find a template I actually liked. I wanted something simple, but dramatic and I just couldn't find that on WordPress. When I first started my blog, I used Wix. I def recommend never using Wix.

*What's your favorite movie you've seen recently?

While I was in Vegas, we went to the movies twice. Once to see Jumanji and again to see Pitch Perfect 3. And let me tell you, those are some of the most hilarious movies I've seen in a while. I can't wait until they come out on demand so I can watch them again!
