LIFESTYLE: Reflecting on the Week +
So, day two of spring semester and I'm realizing that this last semester in college is going to be a pretty good one. All of my classes pertain exactly to what I want to do after graduation, full-time blogging and growing my online boutique, Shop Becca. Maybe not right away, but I'm working my booty off to make it a reality!
If you're new here, I've began something new on the blog. Every Tuesday, I write a blog post where I am reflecting on the past week. So basically, what I accomplished in the past week and my goals for the new week. I invite y'all to join me! This is my second week and I'm already motivated to get after my goals each week!
what I've accomplished this past week:
*began my last semester in college
*filming YouTube videos with some beauty/lifestyle content for January
*2 fashion brands reached out, each impressed with my experience in the fashion industry and wanting to speak about career opportunities
goals I accomplished this from last week's reflection's goal list
*send out/answer collaboration emails - got my email count from 200 to 10
*film YouTube videos for the next couple of weeks - I filmed a video but being the perfectionist I am, I didn't like the angle or lighting sooo I'm re-doing it + filming a couple more tomorrow (I'll have a new YouTube up on my channel Thursday!)
*actually get myself on a healthy sleep schedule (RIP staying up until 4am) - still working on this one
*eat less fastfood - today makes day 2 of no fastfood, whooooohoooo. traveling and being in Vegas makes eating healthy sooo hard.
goals for the next week
*finish reading Big Little Lies
*apply to jobs/internship for post graduation
*continue eating no fast food
*stay caught up on homework and readings
*style, plan, & shoot a Valentine's Day look book for Shop Becca
I also wanted to share with y'all my new FAVE sweater dress. I'm usually not a fan of dresses because I feel like my booty is hanging out when I walk, but this one covers everything perfectly, plus it's under $50 and comes in black, red, & taupe. I also tried it on with some jeans, a vest, & a hat and can totally see it as a casual ootd for all this chilly weather the south has had lately. I'll wear it soon and take some photos so y'all can see what I'm talking about!
Speaking of different ways to style this dress, some taupe ankle boots or black over-the-knee boots could totally work as well (help add some drama for a more dressy look).
I'm not sure about y'all, but with being on a budget and in college, I love love love finding pieces that could be worn to work, for fun, and running errands or grabbing coffee. I know that most of y'all can relate and even if you can't, everyone loves a good sale, am I right?! That's why on Styled by Becca, you'll most likely see pieces being posted more than once and styled various ways.
